Synergizing EED’s Partners in Advocating the Rights to Development in Indonesia
July 2011 - July 2013
Programs and Action plans conceived by Indonesian partners are based on the four strategic sectors already adopted – Democratization and Pluralism, Rural Development, Gender Justice and Health, and use the outcome and impact orientation format. The strategic issues identified in the actions plans are peasants' empowerment towards food sovereignty and food justice (rural development), and high maternal and child mortality rate in Indonesia (health), integration of gender perspective into organization and program (gender justice), and civilian and political rights, freedom of religion (democratization and pluralism). Within rural development (food sovereignty and food justice), partners identify more specific theme for future program implementation – organic farming and fair trade.
